झारखंड में विभिन्न खेल प्रतियोगिता
Indian Hockey League & Jharkhand – Ranchi Rhinos टीम की स्थापना 2012 में हुई। पहला Hockey India League, 2013 मुकाबला इसी टीम ने Delhi Waveriders को 2-1 से हराकर जीता। 2014 में विवाद के कारण यह टीम खत्म हो गई। इसका Home Ground एस्ट्रो टर्फ हॉकी स्टेडियम राँची था। Ranchi Rhinos टीम के Dissolve होने के बाद 2014 में Ranchi Rays टीम बनाई गई। यह टीम 2015 में India Hockey League की विजेता रही। इसका भी Home Ground एस्ट्रो टर्फ हॉकी स्टेडियम राँची है। Asia Sports Venture Pvt Ltd इस टीम के मालिक है। जर्मनी के Mortiz Fruste टीम के कप्तान है।
Jharkhand Premier League – IPL के तर्ज पर झारखंड में JPL T20 टूर्नामेंट होती है। इसमें 6 टीम भाग लेते है जो निम्न है:-
a) Dumka Daredevils
b) Bokaro Blasters
c) Ranchi Riders
d) Singhbhum Strikers
e) Dhanbad Dynamos
f) Jamshedpur Jugglers
ग्रेट झारखंड रन- यह एक एथलेटिक्स प्रतियोगिता है जिसका आयोजन मास्टर एथलेटिक्स एसोसिएशन ऑफ झारखंड करता है। इस प्रतियोगिता में दौड़, पैदल चाल, और फील्ड इवेंट होते हैं। पहली बार इसका आयोजन साल 8 दिसंबर 2024 में इसका आयोजन जमशेदपुर के जेआरडी टाटा स्पोर्ट्स कंप्लेक्स में हुआ। इस प्रतियोगिता में 30+ से 85+ वर्ष तक की 10 आयु श्रेणियों के पुरुष और महिला एथलीट भाग लेते है। पुरुषों के लिए प्रमुख स्पर्धाओं में 100 मीटर, 400 मीटर और 800 मीटर की दौड़ के साथ-साथ रेस वॉकिंग, शॉट पुट, डिस्कस थ्रो, जेवलिन थ्रो, लॉन्ग जंप और ट्रिपल जंप शामिल हैं। महिलाओं की स्पर्धाओं में 100 मीटर और 200 मीटर दौड़, 1 किमी पैदल चाल, लंबी कूद, शॉट पुट, डिस्कस थ्रो और भाला फेंक शामिल है।
Indian Super League – यह फुटबॉल प्रतियोगिता 2014 से शुरू की गई है। इसमे वर्तमान में कुल 11 टीम (club) है। झारखंड से जमशेदपुर फुटबॉल क्लब की टीम इस प्रतियोगिता में भाग लेती है। जमशेदपुर फुटबॉल क्लब की स्थापना 2017 में हुई और ISL में पहली बार भाग 2017 में ही लिया। इस क्लब का संचालन टाटा ग्रुप द्वारा किया जाता है। इसका Home Ground टाटा स्पोर्ट्स कॉप्लेक्स है।
National Game
The State contingent first participated at the 32nd National Games at Punjab and won 6 Medals. At 33rd National Games at Guwahati in Feb 2007, Jharkhand Players won 17 medals at Guwahati National Games.
In 2011 Jharkhand hosted 34th National Games and Jharkhand won 118 Medals and placed at 5th Place in overall ranking.
In 35th National Games, 2015 Jharkhand won 22 Medals.
34वीं राष्ट्रीय खेल का – झारखंड ने पहली राष्ट्रीय खेल का मेजबानी 2011 में 34वीं राष्ट्रीय खेल का किया। यह 12-26 फरवरी तक चला चला था। इसका आयोजन पूर्वी सिंहभूम (जमशेदपुर), धनबाद और राँची जिले में कराया गया। इस प्रतियोगिता का शुभारंभ और समापन दोनो समारोह बिरसा मुंडा एथलेटिक्स स्टेडियम, राँची में किया गया। उद्घाटनकर्ता झारखंड के राज्यपाल MOH Farukh थे वही समापनकर्ता भारतीय ओलिम्पिक संघ के अध्यक्ष सुरेश कालमाडी थे। इसमे कुल 35 प्रकार के खेल तथा 444 स्पर्द्धाएँ हुई। भाग लेने वाले कुल 36 टीमें थी (सर्विसेज+28 राज्य+7 केंद्रशासित प्रदेश)। खेल के मस्कट “छउआ” था जो हिरण के बच्चे के समरूप था।
Note:- प्रथम राष्ट्रीय खेल 1920 में लाहौर में हुआ था।
खेल मशाल – खेल मशाल लेकर मैदान में प्रवेश करने वाली खिलाड़ी दीपिका कुमारी थी। खिलाड़ियों के तरफ से शपथ लेने वाली खिलाड़ी भी दीपिका कुमारी थी। खेल मशाल को झारखंड के चार खिलाड़ियों ने की दीपिका कुमारी, सुमराय टेटे, अरुणा मिश्रा, सिल्वेनास डुंगडुंग थे। झारखंड टीम का नेतृत्वकर्ता विमल लकड़ा थे।
पुरस्कार – इस प्रतियोगिता में कुल 8,511 खिलाड़ियों ने भाग लिया। झारखंड से कुल 850 खिलाड़ियों ने भाग लिया था। कुल 1479 पदकों का वितरण किया गया। जिसमें 444 स्वर्ण, 447, रजत और 588 कांस्य थे। इस स्थान में प्रथम स्थान सर्विसेज (70 गोल्ड),द्वितीय स्थान मणिपुर ( 48 गोल्ड) तृतीय स्थान हरियाणा (42 गोल्ड) का था। झारखंड का स्थान 5th था। सबसे ज्यादा पदक जीतनेवाले सर्विसेज टीम को राजा भलेंद्र सिंह ट्राफी प्रदान की गई। सर्वश्रेष्ठ राज्य ट्राफी मणिपुर को प्रदान की गई। सर्वश्रेष्ठ पुरुष एथलीट वीर धवल खाड़े ( महाराष्ट्र, तैराकी) तथा महिला एथलीट ऋचा मिश्रा (तैराकी, दिल्ली)
Note:- झारखंड आर्म्ड फ़ोर्स के संयुक्त टीम को सर्विसेज कहा जाता है।
झारखंड का स्थान – झारखंड से कुल 850 खिलाड़ियों ने भाग लिया था। झारखंड की टीम खिलाड़ियों के मामले में सबसे बड़ी थी। झारखंड का स्थान 5th था। झारखंड ने 33 स्वर्ण पदक 26 रजत और 37 कांस्य समेत कुल 96 पदक हासिल किए। झारखंड के लिए पहला पदक प्रीति कुमारी ने (कांस्य, ताइक्वांडो) में जीता। झारखंड के लिए पहला गोल्ड मैडल सोनम राजपूत ने ताइक्वांडो में जीता। पुरुष और महिला हॉकी दोनो में झारखंड को रजत पदक मिला।
7th National Vanvasi Sports Festival – इस खेल प्रतियोगिता की मेजबानी झारखंड के राँची में 2015 में की गई थी। इस प्रतियोगिता में झारखंड ने सर्वाधिक 15 स्वर्ण, 17 रजत और 18 कांस्य पदक सहित कुल 50 पदक जीते। महाराष्ट्र और छत्तीसगढ़ क्रमशः दूसरे और तीसरे स्थान पर रहा।
Note:- यह प्रतियोगिता 1988 ई से शुरू की गई। इसका संचालन वनवासी स्पोर्ट्स आश्रम द्वारा किया जाता है।
खेल महाकुंभ – यह प्रतियोगिता 2016 से 8-12 साल के बच्चों के लिए शुरू की गई है। इस प्रतियोगिता के 3rd संस्करण की मेजबानी 2018 ई में झारखंड के राँची में की गई।
Sports competition in Jharkhand
Indian Hockey League & Jharkhand – Ranchi Rhinos was founded in 2012. This team won the first Hockey India League, 2013 by defeating Delhi Waveriders 2-1. This team was disbanded in 2014 due to controversy. Its home ground was Astro Turf Hockey Stadium Ranchi. After the dissolution of Ranchi Rhinos team, Ranchi Rays team was formed in 2014. This team was the winner of India Hockey League in 2015. Its home ground is also Astro Turf Hockey Stadium Ranchi. Asia Sports Venture Pvt Ltd is the owner of this team. Mortiz Fruste of Germany is the captain of the team.

Great Jharkhand Run- It is an athletics competition organized by the Master Athletics Association of Jharkhand. This competition consists of running, walking, and field events. For the first time, it will be organized on 8 December 2024 at JRD Tata Sports Complex, Jamshedpur. Male and female athletes from 10 age categories from 30+ to 85+ years participate in this competition. The major events for men include the 100m, 400m and 800m races, as well as race walking, shot put, discus throw, javelin throw, long jump and triple jump. Women’s events include 100m and 200m races, 1 km walk, long jump, shot put, discus throw and javelin throw.
Indian Super League – This football competition has been started in 2014. Currently, there are a total of 11 teams (clubs) in it. Jamshedpur Football Club team from Jharkhand participates in this competition. Jamshedpur Football Club was founded in 2017 and participated in ISL for the first time in 2017. This club is operated by Tata Group. Its home ground is Tata Sports Complex.
34th National Game
Introduction – Jharkhand hosted the first National Games in 2011, the 34th National Games. It was held from 12-26 February. It was organised in Purbi Singhbhum (Jamshedpur), Dhanbad and Ranchi districts. Both the opening and closing ceremonies of this competition were held at Birsa Munda Athletics Stadium, Ranchi. The inaugural speaker was Jharkhand Governor MOH Farukh and the closing speaker was Indian Olympic Association President Suresh Kaal. There were a total of 35 types of games and 444 events. There were a total of 36 teams participating (Services + 28 States + 7 Union Territories). The mascot of the games was “Chhaua” which resembles a fawn. Note:- The first national games were held in Lahore in 1920.
Sports torch – The player who entered the field carrying the sports torch was Deepika Kumari. Deepika Kumari was also the player who took the oath on behalf of the players. The sports torch was carried by four players from Jharkhand – Deepika Kumari, Sumrai Tete, Aruna Mishra, Sylvanas Dungdung. The Jharkhand team was led by Vimal Lakra.
Awards – A total of 8,511 players participated in this competition. A total of 850 players participated from Jharkhand. A total of 1479 medals were distributed. Of which 444 were gold, 447 silver and 588 bronze. In this ranking, Services (70 Gold) got the first position, Manipur (48 Gold) got the second position and Haryana (42 Gold) got the third position. Jharkhand got the fifth position. The Services team which won the most medals was awarded the Raja Bhalendra Singh Trophy. The Best State Trophy was awarded to Manipur. Best male athlete Veer Dhawal Khade (Maharashtra, swimming) and female athlete Richa Mishra (swimming, Delhi)
Note:- The joint team of Jharkhand Armed Forces is called Services.
Jharkhand’s position – A total of 850 players participated from Jharkhand. Jharkhand’s team was the largest in terms of players. Jharkhand’s position was 5th. Jharkhand won a total of 96 medals including 33 gold medals, 26 silver medals and 37 bronze medals. The first medal for Jharkhand was won by Preeti Kumari (bronze in Taekwondo). The first gold medal for Jharkhand was won by Sonam Rajput in Taekwondo. Jharkhand got silver medals in both men’s and women’s hockey.
7th National Vanvasi Sports Festival – This sports competition was hosted in Ranchi, Jharkhand in 2015. In this competition, Jharkhand won a total of 50 medals including 15 gold, 17 silver and 18 bronze medals. Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh finished second and third respectively.
Note:- This competition was started in 1988. It is run by Vanvasi Sports Ashram.
Khel Maha Kumbh – This competition has been started for children aged 8-12 years from 2016. The 3rd edition of this competition was hosted in Ranchi, Jharkhand in 2018.
