JHARKHAND MONSOON REPORT-2023
The Southwest monsoon set in over south Kerala and south Tamil Nadu on 08th June 2023 against the normal date of 1st June. The SW Monsoon arrived in Jharkhand on 19 June & it covered entire state of Jharkhand by 24 June. Total 15 Low pressure systems including one extremely severe cyclonic storm “BIPARJOY” over Arabian Sea during 6-19 June, formed in North Indian ocean during the season. Almost all the above systems contributed to significant rainfall over Jharkhand state. Withdrawal of Southwest monsoon started from Jharkhand on 09 Oct and withdrawn completely from entire state on 13 Oct.
The highest rainfall observed in a day during the season was 212.4 mm at Pakartand (Simdega). The lowest Minimum temperature during the season in the state was 20.4 °C recorded at Ranchi. The highest Maximum temperature during the season in the state was 45.9 °C recorded at Godda KVK.
Monthly & Seasonal observed rainfall against LPA (Long period average of 1971-2020)
June – 106.5 mm against 189.5 mm.
July – 167.5 mm against 318.7 mm
August – 228.4 mm against 290.6 mm for the month.
September – 249.0 mm against normal
rainfall of 224.0 mm.
The above data show a deficient rainfall in the year of 2023.
Heavy rainfall – Heavy rainfall occurred in the state on 08 days in June, 14 days in July, 16 days in
August and 13 days in September-2023 during the monsoon season.
Heat Wave – Heat wave occurred on 18 days (05-22) while warm night occurred on two days (17-18) over Jharkhand in June, 2023. No heat wave in rest season.
Teamperature – During June & July-2023, over all monthly average maximum temperature over most parts of the state of Jharkhand were above normal of monthly normal maximum temperature. For August & September-2023, it was normal over the state.
Average maximum temperature for the whole Monsoon season was normal to above normal. Central parts of the state observed normal average maximum temperature for the season where as rest parts witnessed above normal seasonal average.
During June & July-2023 monthly average minimum temperature over the state of Jharkhand was observed Normal to above normal whereas during August & september-2023 it was normal.
Seasonal average minimum temperature over the state was overall normal except south west parts of the state where it was above normal.
Casualties – Total 378 numbers of nowcasts were issued for severe weather (lightening/thunder) for Jharkhand state during Monsoon season-2023. Total 91 numbers of human casualties, 73 injuries of human due to severe weather (Lightning strike/ Flood etc.) were reported. in the state during the monsoon season-2023.
झारखण्ड मानसून रिपोर्ट-2023
दक्षिण-पश्चिम मानसून 1 जून की सामान्य तिथि के मुकाबले 08 जून 2023 को दक्षिण केरल और दक्षिण तमिलनाडु में आगमन हुआ। दक्षिण- पश्चिम मॉनसून 19 जून को झारखंड पहुंचा और 24 जून तक इसने पूरे झारखंड राज्य को कवर कर लिया। 6-19 जून के दौरान अरब सागर के ऊपर एक अत्यंत भीषण चक्रवाती तूफान “बिपरजॉय” सहित कुल 15 निम्न दबाव प्रणालियाँ, इस मौसम के दौरान उत्तर हिंद महासागर में बनीं। उपरोक्त लगभग सभी प्रणालियों ने झारखंड राज्य में महत्वपूर्ण वर्षा में योगदान दिया। दक्षिण पश्चिम मानसून की वापसी 09 अक्टूबर को झारखंड से शुरू हुई और 13 अक्टूबर को पूरे राज्य से पूरी तरह से वापस चली गई।
2023 मानसुन के दौरान एक दिन में सबसे अधिक बारिश पाकरटांड़ (सिमडेगा) में 212.4 मिमी हुई। राज्य में इस मानसुन का सबसे कम न्यूनतम तापमान रांची में 20.4 डिग्री सेल्सियस दर्ज किया गया तथा सबसे कम न्यूनतम तापमान रांची में 20.4 डिग्री सेल्सियस दर्ज किया गया। राज्य में मानसुन का सबसे अधिक अधिकतम तापमान गोड्डा में 45.9 डिग्री सेल्सियस दर्ज किया गया।
औसत वर्षा के मुकाबले मासिक वर्षा (1971-2020 की लंबी अवधि का औसत)
जून – औसत वर्षा 189.5 मिमी के मुकाबले 106.5 मिमी हुई
जुलाई –औसत वर्षा 318.7 मिमी के मुकाबले 167.5 मिमी हुई
अगस्त – औसत वर्षा 290.6 मिमी के मुकाबले 228.4 मिमी हुई
सितंबर- औसत वर्षा के मुकाबले 249.0 मिमी 224.0 मिमी वर्षा हुई
उपरोक्त आंकड़े वर्ष 2023 में कम वर्षा को दर्शाते हैं।
भारी वर्षा – प्रदेश में जून में 08 दिन, जुलाई में 14 दिन, अगस्त मे 16 दिन, सितंबर में 13 दिन भारी वर्षा हुई।
गर्म हवाएं – जून, 2023 में झारखंड में 18 दिन (05-22) को गर्म हवाएं चली जबकि दो दिन (17-18) को रात गर्म रही हुई। बाकी मानसुन में कोई गर्म हवाएं नहीं चली।
तापमान – जून और जुलाई-2023 के दौरान, झारखंड राज्य के अधिकांश हिस्सों में मासिक औसत अधिकतम तापमान मासिक सामान्य अधिकतम तापमान से ऊपर था। अगस्त और सितंबर-2023 के लिए, राज्य में यह सामान्य था।
पूरे मॉनसून सीज़न के दौरान औसत अधिकतम तापमान सामान्य से ऊपर था। राज्य के मध्य भागों में इस मौसम के लिए सामान्य औसत अधिकतम तापमान देखा गया, जबकि शेष हिस्सों में सामान्य मौसमी औसत से ऊपर तापमान देखा गया।
जून और जुलाई-2023 के दौरान झारखंड राज्य में मासिक औसत न्यूनतम तापमान सामान्य से ऊपर देखा गया जबकि अगस्त और सितंबर-2023 के दौरान यह सामान्य था।
राज्य के दक्षिण-पश्चिम हिस्सों को छोड़कर, जहां यह सामान्य से ऊपर था, राज्य में मौसमी औसत न्यूनतम तापमान कुल मिलाकर सामान्य था।
हताहत – मानसून सीजन-2023 के दौरान झारखंड राज्य के लिए गंभीर मौसम (बिजली/गरज) के लिए कुल 378 नाउकास्ट जारी किए गए थे। कुल 91 मानव हताहतों की संख्या, गंभीर मौसम (बिजली गिरने/बाढ़ आदि) के कारण 73 मानव चोटें दर्ज की गईं। राज्य में मानसून सीजन-2023 के दौरान।
