पंडित विनोदानंद झा
ये संताल परगना के स्वतंत्रता सेनानी थे। स्वतंत्रता आंदोलन के दौरान ये अपनी पढ़ाई छोड़ कर आंदोलन में कूद पड़े। इनका जन्म 17 अप्रैल 1900 में देवघर में हुआ था। इसके पिता का नाम सच्चिदानंद झा था। ये बिहार के तीसरे मुख्यमंत्री (1961-1963) रहे । ये झारखंड क्षेत्र से अविभाजित बिहार का पहला मुख्य्मंत्री बने। वे दरभंगा लोक सभा चुनाव क्षेत्र से सांसद बने।
असहयोग आंदोलन में भूमिका
असहयोग आंदोलन के दौरान देवघर आर मित्रा हाई स्कूल के विद्यार्थियों ने विनोदानंद झा और प्रफुल्ल चंद्र सेन के नेतृत्व में जुलूस निकाला था और राष्ट्रीय विद्यालय की मांग की थी। असहयोग आंदोलन को वापस लेने के कारण गांधीजी से नाराज चित्तरंजन दास और मोतीलाल नेहरू ने अलग राजनीतिक दल स्वराज पार्टी का स्थापना 1 जनवरी 1923 में की गई। उस समय विनोदानंद झा ने भी कांग्रेस से इस्तीफा दे दिया था। विनोदानंद झा को स्वराज पार्टी के और से संताल परगना का जिला अध्यक्ष बनाया गया था।
सविनय अवज्ञा आंदोलन में भूमिका
सविनय अवज्ञा आंदोलन के दौरान पंडित विनोदानंद झा ने मधुपुर में एक बड़ी सभा बुलाई थी और इस तरह सभा को संबोधित किया था।
भारत छोड़ो आन्दोलन में भूमिका
भारत छोड़ो आन्दोलन के दौरान 11 अगस्त 1942 में इनके नेतृत्व में एक विशाल सभा का आयोजन हुआ जिसे पुलिस ने भंग कर दिया था। इस समय विनोदानंद झा गिरफ्तार करके भागलपुर जेल में भेज दिए गए थे।
विनोदानंद झा से संबंधित महत्वपूर्ण तथ्य
1. इनका 1929 में हिंदी विद्यापीठ, देवघर के निर्माण में अहम योगदान था।
2. झारखंड पार्टी का कांग्रेस में विलय इनके हस्तक्षेप पे ही हुआ था।
3. ये संविधान सभा के सदस्य भी रहे।
4. 19 सितंबर 1945 ई को ब्रिटेन के प्रधानमंत्री क्लिमेंट एटली की घोषणा के तहत भारत में केन्द्रीय विधान मंडल और प्रांतीय विधान मंडल के चुनाव कराए गए। अविभाजित बिहार में दोनो चुनावो में कांग्रेस का बोलबाला रहा। 30 मार्च 1946 ई को बिहार में कांग्रेस मंत्रिमंडल का गठन हुआ। श्री कृष्ण सिंह बिहार के प्रधानमंत्री (उस समय मुख्यमंत्री नही होता था) चुने गए। इस मंत्रिमंडल में झारखंड के दो नेता (विनोदानंद झा और कृष्ण वल्लभ सहाय) मंत्री बने थे। और इसी समय बिहार सरकार ने 1946 में राँची कॉलेज की स्थापना की।
Pandit Vinodanand Jha
He was a freedom fighter from Santal Pargana. During the freedom movement, he left his studies and jumped into the movement. He was born on 17 April 1900 in Deoghar. His father’s name was Sachchidanand Jha. He was the third Chief Minister of Bihar (1961-1963). He became the first Chief Minister of undivided Bihar from Jharkhand region. He became MP from Darbhanga Lok Sabha constituency.
Role in the Non-Cooperation Movement- During the Non-Cooperation Movement, the students of Deoghar R Mitra High School took out a procession under the leadership of Vinodanand Jha and Prafulla Chandra Sen and demanded a national school. Angered by Gandhiji for withdrawing the non-cooperation movement, Chittaranjan Das and Motilal Nehru founded a separate political party, Swaraj Party, on 1 January 1923. At that time Vinodanand Jha also resigned from Congress. Vinodanand Jha was made the district president of Santal Pargana on behalf of Swaraj Party.
Role in civil disobedience movement – During the Civil Disobedience Movement, Pandit Vinodanand Jha had called a big meeting in Madhupur and addressed the gathering in this way.
Role in Quit India Movement – During the Quit India Movement, a huge meeting was organized under his leadership on 11 August 1942, which was broken up by the police. At this time Vinodonand Jha was arrested and sent to Bhagalpur jail.
Important facts related to Vinodanand Jha
1. He had an important contribution in the construction of Hindi Vidyapeeth, Deoghar in 1929.
2. The merger of Jharkhand Party with Congress happened only due to his intervention.
3. He was also a member of the Constituent Assembly.
4. On 19 September 1945, under the announcement of British Prime Minister Clement Attlee, elections for the Central Legislative Assembly and Provincial Legislative Assembly were held in India.Congress dominated in both the elections in undivided Bihar. Congress cabinet was formed in Bihar on 30 March 1946. Shri Krishna Singh was elected the Prime Minister of Bihar (at that time there was no Chief Minister). Two leaders from Jharkhand (Vinodanand Jha and Krishna Vallabh Sahay) became ministers in this cabinet. And at this time Bihar Government established Ranchi College in 1946.
