रामनारायण सिंह

Ram Narayan Singh Biography – झारखंड के प्रसिद्ध स्वतंत्रता सेनानी थे। जिसका जन्म 9 दिसंबर 1885 में चतरा जिला के हंटरगंज तेतरिया गांव में हुआ था। उसके पिता का नाम भोली सिंह थे जो खुद एक स्वतंत्रता सेनानी थे। इसके चचेरे भाई सुखलाल सिंह भी बहुत बड़े स्वतंत्रता सेनानी थे। एक अन्य स्वतंत्रता सेनानी शालिग्राम सिंह का भी जन्म हंटरगंज में 24 जुलाई 1916 को हुआ था। इन दोनो स्वतंत्रता सेनानी के सम्मान में हंटरगंज प्रखंड का नाम बदलकर रामनारायण शालीग्रामपुर कर दिया गया है।

असहयोग आंदोलन के दौरान इन्होने चतरा (उस समय हजारीबाग में) जिला को नेतृत्व प्रदान किया और एक महीना के जेल भी गए। नमक आंदोलन,सविनय अवज्ञा आंदोलन और भारत छोड़ो आंदोलन में रामनारायण सिंह ने चतरा जिला का नेतृत्व किया। ये हजारीबाग जिला कांग्रेस कमिटी के अध्यक्ष थे। गांधीजी ने रामगढ़ कांग्रेस अधिवेशन के दौरान रामनारायण सिंह को “छोटानागपुर केसरी (छोटानागपुर का शेर)” नाम से संबोधित किया।

स्वराज लूट गया (Ram Narayan Singh Biography)

1956 में इसने “स्वराज लूट गया” नामक प्रसिद्ध पुस्तक लिखी। इस पुस्तक को राजनीति का आचार संहिता कहा जाता है।

संताल समाज सुधारक और स्वतंत्रता सेनानी ओपम मांझी और बंगम माझी के साथ मिलकर इसने समाज सुधार के क्षेत्र में बहुत काम किया। रामनारायण सिंह संविधान सभा के सदस्य भी चुने गए थे।

ये संविधान सभा के संविधान निर्माण समिति के सदस्य थे। आजादी के बाद ये कांग्रेस से अलग हो गए क्योंकि ये कांग्रेस के विदेश नीति से खुश नहीं थे। 1952 के पहले आम चुनाव में वे स्वतंत्र उम्मीदवार के रूप में हजारीबाग से प्रथम सांसद बने। राम नारायण सिंह पहले नेता थे जिन्होंने संसद में पहली बार अलग झारखंड की वकालत की थी। इसकी मृत्यु 24 जून 1964 में एक कार दुर्घटना से हुई।

रामनारायण सिंह से संबंधित महत्वपूर्ण तथ्य

1. भारत छोड़ो आंदोलन के दौरान राम नारायण सिंह हजारीबाग जेल में कैद थे। उसी जेल में 9 नवंबर 1942 को एक घटना हुई।जयप्रकाश नारायण अपने 5 साथियों के साथ जेल की दीवार फाँद के भाग गए। वो पाँच साथी थे:-

a). राम नंदन मिश्रा

b) गुलाबी सोनार

c) शालीग्राम सिंह

d) सूरज नारायण सिंह

e) योगेंद्र शुक्ल

इस घटना के तुरंत बाद उसी जेल में कैद रामनारायण सिंह, कृष्ण वल्लभ सहाय और सुखलाल सिंह को हजारीबाग जेल से भागलपुर जेल में शिफ्ट किया गया।

2. रामनारायण सिंह पेशे से वकील थे।

He Was a famous freedom fighter of Jharkhand. Who was born on 9 December 1885 in Hunterganj Tetaria village of Chatra district. His father’s name was Bholi Singh who himself was a freedom fighter. His cousin Sukhlal Singh was also a great freedom fighter. Another freedom fighter Shaligram Singh was also born in Hunterganj on 24 July 1916. In honor of these two freedom fighters, the name of Hunterganj block has been changed to Ramnarayan Shaligrampur.

During the non-cooperation movement, he provided leadership to Chatra (then Hazaribagh) district and also went to jail for a month. Ramnarayan Singh represented Chatra district in the Salt Movement, Civil Disobedience Movement and Quit India Movement. He was the President of Hazaribagh District Congress Committee. Gandhiji addressed Ramnarayan Singh as “Chhotanagpur Kesari (Lion of Chhotanagpur)” during the Ramgarh Congress session.

In 1956, he wrote the famous book “Swaraj Loot Gaya”. This book is called the code of conduct of politics.

Along with Santal social reformers and freedom fighters Opam Majhi and Bangam Majhi, he did a lot of work in the field of social reform. Ramnarayan Singh was also elected member of the Constituent Assembly.

He was a member of the Constitution Making Committee of the Constituent Assembly. After independence, he separated from Congress because he was not happy with the foreign policy of Congress. In the first general election of 1952, he stood as an independent candidate. Ram Narayan Singh was the first leader who advocated a separate Jharkhand for the first time in the Parliament. He died in a car accident on 24 June 1964.

Important facts related to Ramnarayan Singh

1. Ram Narayan Singh was imprisoned in Hazaribagh jail during the Quit India Movement. An incident took place in the same jail on 9 November 1942. Jayaprakash Narayan along with his 5 comrades escaped by jumping over the jail wall. Those five companions were:-

a). Ram Nandan Mishra

b) Gulabi Sonar

c) Shaligram Singh

d) Suraj Narayan Singh

e) Yogendra Shukla

Immediately after this incident, Ramnarayan Singh, Krishna Vallabh Sahay and Sukhlal Singh, imprisoned in the same jail, were shifted from Hazaribagh jail to Bhagalpur jail.

2. Ramnarayan Singh was a lawyer by profession.
