Famous Hills Of Jharkhand

गढ़जात की पहाड़ियां – यह पहाड़ी पूर्वी घाट पर्वतमाला का विस्तार है। यह पहाड़ियां मुख्य रूप से उड़ीसा में तथा गौण रूप से झारखंड और छत्तीसगढ़ में पाया जाता है। यह उत्कल या उड़ीसा के पठार पर अवस्थित है। सम्मिलित रूप से इसे उड़ीसा उच्च भूमि के नाम से जाना जाता है। मलयगिरी पहाड़ी इसकी सर्वोच्च चोटी। झारखंड में यह पहाड़ियां सिंहभूम तथा सिमडेगा में पाई जाती है।

सती पहाड़ – यह हजारीबाग के बड़कागांव के इस्को प्रखंड में अवस्थित है यहां पर पाषाणकालीन शैलचित्रों की प्राप्ति हुई है।

नचनिया पहाड़ – यहां प्रसिद्ध शिव का गुफा मंदिर है जो गिरिडीह जिला में अवस्थित है।

कैमूर पहाड़ – यह पहाड़ी झारखंड के गढ़वा जिले को छूती है जहां से रॉक पेंटिंग मिलें है।

महुदी पहाड़ – यह पहाड़ यह हजारीबाग के बड़कागांव प्रखंड में अवस्थित है। इस पहाड़ में 4 गुप्तकालिन मंदिरों के अवशेष मिले है जो पत्थर को काटकर बनाया गया है। डुमारो जलप्रपात और बंदरचूआ जलप्रपात इसी पहाड़ी की जलधारा से बनता है। प्राचीनकालीन कई गुफाएं यहां मौजूद है। प्रसिद्ध बुढ़वा महादेव मन्दिर इसी पहाड़ी पर अवस्थित है।

गोंडा पहाड़ – यह पहाड़ी राँची जिला में अवस्थित है। इस पहाड़ी के चट्टान को तरासकर Rock Garden बनाया गया है। इस पहाड़ी के तलहटी में कांके डैम अवस्थित है।

टैगोर पहाड़ – यह राँची में अवस्थित है,इसे पहले मोराबादी पहाड़ी कहा जाता था। इस पहाड़ी के तल में रामकृष्ण मिशन और दिव्य ज्ञान सेंटर मौजूद है। यह पहाड़ी टैगोर परिवार से सम्बन्धित है। यहां रबींद्रनाथ टैगोर के बड़े भाई ज्योतिरिंद्र नाथ टैगोर ने 1912 में उनकी पत्नी कादंबरी देवी के मृत्यु के पश्चात अपना निवास स्थल बनाया था। आवास का नाम शांति धाम है और यहां एक स्मारक बनाया जिसका नाम ब्रह्म स्थल है। रबिंद्र नाथ टैगोर ने भी यहां कुछ समय बिताए थे और यही रह के कुछ रचनाएं की। इस वजह से इस पहाड़ी का नाम टैगोर पहाड़ी पड़ा।

महुलिया पहाड़ – यह पहाड़ पूर्वी सिंहभूम के घाटशिला में अवस्थित है। इस पहाड़ पर ढाल राजाओं की कुल देवी “रंकिनी देवी” की मंदिर है।

Note:- रामगढ़ राज्य का कुलदेवी “छिन्नमस्तिका देवी” थी। सिंहवंशी राज्य का कुल देवी की “पौरी देवी (चक्रधरपुुर)” था। नागवंशी राज्य का कुल देवता “चिंतामणि देव (पालकोट)” था।

मंदारगिरी पहाड़ – यह लातेहार जिला के चंदवा प्रखंड में अवस्थित है। यहां 18वीं सदी में टोरी परगना राजा पीतांबर शाही द्वारा बनाया गया उग्रतारा मंदिर है। साथ ही यहां दूसरा धार्मिक स्थल मदारशाह का मजार है।

बागडू पहाड़ –यह लोहरदग्गा के बागडूपाट में स्थित एक पहाड़ी जहां “बिरसा उपवन” जैव विविधता पार्क हैं। इस पार्क को विकसित HINDALCO द्वारा किया गया है। यह पहाड़ी बॉक्साइड के भंडारण के लिए प्रसिद्ध है।

गुलगुल पहाड़ – यह झारखंड के गढ़वा जिले के सरुअत गांव में स्थित है इसलिए इसे सरूअत पहाड़ी भी कहा जाता। यह झारखंड का दूसरा सबसे ऊंचा पर्वत शिखर है सम्मेद शिखर (पारसनाथ) के बाद।

सिंगारसी पहाड़ – यह पाकुड़ जिला के आमडापाड़ा में अवस्थित है। पहाड़िया विद्रोह के दौरान यहां जबरा पहाड़िया ने अंग्रेजों के खिलाफ विद्रोह किया था। झारखंड का एकमात्र वायु सेना स्टेशन इसी पहाड़ी के तराई में अवस्थित है।

बाराकोपा पहाड़ – यह गोड्डा जिला में अवस्थित है। इस पहाड़ में प्रसिद्ध माता योगिनी का मंदिर है।

धसनिया पहाड़ – यह जामताड़ा जिला में अवस्थित है रमना आहड़ी ने इसी पहाड़ में अंग्रेजो के खिलाफ विद्रोह किया था।

मुड़हर पहाड़ (पवड़) – यह पहाड़ राँची जिला के पिठोरिया में स्थित है। मदरा मुंडा की राजधानी सुतियाम्बे यहीं पर स्थित है। मदरा मुंडा यही से सुतिया नागखण्ड राज्य का प्रशासन चलाता था। इस पहाड़ में मुंडा समुदाय के लिए कई पवित्र स्थल है। इस पहाड़ में भगवान शिव की पूजा मुड़हर बाबा के रूप में होती है जो पहाड़ में स्थित एक गुफा में स्थित है।

हाथी पहाड़ – यह पहाड़ी देवघर शहर के नजदीक स्थित हैं। इस पहाड़ में एक विशाल चट्टान है जिसकी आकृति हाथी से मिलती है। इस पहाड़ को महादेवत्री के नाम से भी जाना जाता है।

मारसिल्ली पहाड़ – यह पहाड़ राँची के नामकुम में स्थित विकसित की जा रही पर्यटन स्थल है। पहाड़ के शिखर पर भगवान शिव का मंदिर स्थित है जिसे देवलोक धाम कहा है।

झिनझिनी पहाड़ी – यह धनबाद जिला के कतरास में अवस्थित है। यहाँ एक तालाब और शिव मंदिर के अवशेष मिले है।

बुलबुल पहाड़ – बुलबुल जंगल और बुलबुल पहाड़ लोहारदग्गा के पेशरार प्रखंड में अवस्थित है। यह जंगल/पहाड़ माओवादी गतिविधियों के रूप में जानी जाती है।

लोटा पहाड़ – यह लोटा की आकृति का पहाड़ है। यह पश्चिम सिंहभूम में चक्रधरपुर के पास स्थित है। यहाँ पे पाषाणयुगीन अवशेष भी प्राप्त हुए है। यहाँ लौह अयस्क के भंडार भी पाए गए है।

बादाम पहाड़ – यह उड़ीसा और झारखंड के सीमा पर स्थित एक पहाड़ है जिसमे लौह अयस्क का विशाल भंडार है। यह बादामी रंग का पहाड़ है तथा इसमे पाए जाने वाले छोटे-छोटे पत्थर बादाम के आकृति के पाए जाते है।

रांगा पहाड़ – यह पूर्वी सिंहभूम के डुमरिया में स्थित है। यह एक लाल रंग का एक पहाड़ है।

नरवां पहाड़ – यह पूर्वी सिंहभूम में स्थित है। यहाँ यूरेनियम का विशाल भंडार है। रूस के सहयोग से यहाँ अत्याधुनिक तरीके से यूरेनियम निकाला जा रहा

महबला पहाड़ – दुमका में स्थित इस पहाड़ में आदि मानव के पद चिन्ह मिले है।

ढांगी पहाड़ियाँ (दांगी पहाड़ियाँ) – धनबाद जिले के पश्चिमी मध्य भाग में ढांगी पहाड़ियाँ हैं, जो उत्तर में ग्रैंड ट्रंक रोड और पूर्वी रैलवे के ग्रैंड कॉर्ड लाइन के बीच की पट्टी में स्थित हैं। दक्षिण में, ये पहाड़ियां प्रधानघंटा से गोविंदपुर तक फैली हुई हैं।

भंवर पहाड़ – भंवर पहाड़ सिमडेगा के कोलेबिरा प्रखंड में है। यहाँ बहुत सारी काली मधुमक्खियाँ (भँवरा) पाई जाती हैं और इसी कारण इसे भंवर पहाड़ कहा जाता है। प्राचीन काल में इन मक्खियों को सैनिकों के रूप में इस्तेमाल किया जाता था। छोटी पहाड़ी पर गुलईची के फूल पहाड़ी पर छोटे घरों में रहने वाले ग्रामीणों के लिए प्रकृति का उपहार हैं। पहाड़ी पर पत्थरों के बीच एक छोटा सा प्राकृतिक तालाब मौजूद है। इसे देखकर आश्चर्य होता है

Flowers of GULAITCHI on the small hill is nature’s gift to villagers living in the small houses on the hill. A small Natural pond exists in between the stones on the hill. It is surprising to see the pond full of water in all seasons.

Mountains Of Jharkhand

Garhjat hills – This hill is an extension of the Eastern Ghats range. These hills are mainly found in Orissa & secondarily in Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh. It is situated on the Utkala or Orissa plateau. Collectively it is known as the Orissa Highlands. Malayagiri hill is its highest peak. In Jharkhand these hills are found in Singhbhum and Simdega.

Sati Mountain – Sati Hill is one of the famous Mountains of Jharkhand. It is located in Isko block of Barkagaon of Hazaribagh, here rock cut paintings of stone have been found.

Nachania Pahad – Here is the famous cave temple of Shiva which is located in Giridih district

Kaimur mountain – This hill touches the Garhwa district of Jharkhand from where rock paintings are found.

Mahudi mountain – This mountain is located in Barkagaon block of Hazaribagh. Remains of 4 Gupta period temples have been found in this mountain which were made by cutting stone. Dumaro Falls and Bandarchua Falls are formed by the stream of this hill. Many ancient caves are present here. The famous Budhwa Mahadev Temple is situated on this hill.

Gonda Pahad – This hill is located in Ranchi district. Rock Garden has been made by carving the rock of this hill. Kanke Dam is situated at the foothills of this hill.

Tagore Hill – It is located in Ranchi, it was earlier called Morabadi hill. Ramakrishna Mission & Divine Knowledge Center are present at the foot of this hill. This hill is related to the Tagore family. Here Rabindranath Tagore’s elder brother Jyotirindranath Tagore made his residence after the death of his wife Kadambari Devi in ​​1912. The name of the abode is Shanti Dham and built a monument here named Brahma Sthal. Rabindra Nath Tagore also spent some time here and composed some of his compositions here. Because of this the hill was named Tagore hill.

Mahulia mountain – This mountain is situated in Ghatshila of East Singhbhum. There is a temple of “Rankini Devi”, the family goddess of the Dhal kings on this mountain.

Note:- The Kuldevi of Ramgarh State was “Chinnamastika Devi”. The total goddess of Singhvanshi state was “Pauri Devi (Chakradharpur)”. The family deity of Nagvanshi state was “Chintamani Dev (Palkot)”.

Mandargiri mountain – It is located in Chandwa block of Latehar district. Here is the Ugratara temple built by Tori Pargana Raja Pitambar Shahi in the 18th century. Along with this, the second religious place is the tomb of Madarshah.

bagdu mountain – It is a hill located in Bagdupat of Lohardaga where “Birsa Upvan” Biodiversity Park is situated. This park has been developed by HINDALCO. This hill is famous for the storage of bauxite.

Gulgul Pahad – It is located in Saruat village of Garhwa district of Jharkhand, hence it is also called Saruat hill. It is the second highest mountain peak of Jharkhand after Sammed peak (Parasnath).

Singarsi mountain – It is situated in Amdapara of Pakur district. During the Paharia rebellion, here Jabra Paharia rebelled against the British. Jharkhand’s only Air Force Station is at the foot of this hill.

Barakopa mountain – It is located in Godda district. There is a temple of famous Mata Yogini in this mountain.

Dhasania mountain – It is located in Jamtara district. Ramna Ahdi revolted against the British in this mountain.

Mudhar Pahad (Pavad) – This mountain is located in Pithoria of Ranchi district. Sutiyambe, the capital of Madra Munda is situated here. Madra Munda used to run the administration of Sutiya Nagkhand state from here. This mountain has many sacred places for the Munda community. Lord Shiva is worshiped in this mountain in the form of Mudhar Baba who is situated in a cave located in the mountain.

Haathi Hill – This hill is situated near Deoghar city. There is a huge rock in this mountain whose shape resembles an elephant. This mountain is also known as Mahadevtri.

Marseille Mountain – This mountain is a tourist destination being developed in Namkum, Ranchi. The temple of Lord Shiva is situated on the peak of the mountain which is called Devlok Dham.

Jinjhini hill – It is located in Katras of Dhanbad district. Remains of a pond and Shiva temple have been found here.

Bulbul Mountain – Bulbul Jungle and Bulbul Pahar are located in Pesharar block of Lohardaga. This forest/mountain is known to have Maoist activities.

Lota Hill – This is a mountain in the shape of Lota. It is located near Chakradharpur in West Singhbhum. Stone age remains have also been found here. Iron ore reserves have also been found here.

Badam Hill – This is a mountain located on the border of Orissa and Jharkhand, which has huge deposits of iron ore. It is an almond colored mountain and the small stones found in it are found in the shape of almonds.

Ranga Pahar – It is situated in Dumariya of East Singhbhum. It is a red colored mountain.

Narwan Pahar – It is situated in East Singhbhum. There is a huge reserve of uranium here. With the help of Russia, uranium is being extracted here in a modern way.

Mahulia Mountain – This mountain is situated in Ghatshila of East Singhbhum. On this mountain there is a temple of “Rankini Devi”, the family goddess of the shield kings.

Dhangi Hills (Dangi Hills) – Dhangi Hills are situated in the west central part of Dhanbad district, in the belt between the Grand Trunk Road in the north and the Grand Chord line of the Eastern Railway. In the south, these hills extend from Pradhanghanta to Govindpur.

Bhanwar Pahar – Bhanwar Pahar is in Kolebira Block, Simdega. Here lots of Black bees (Bhanwara) found and it is said Bhanwar Pahar due to this. In ancient age these flies were used as the soldiers.
